How to Measure (Takes 2 Minutes)
Chest
Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape horizontal. For kids, measure with a snug (not tight) tape. Add 2" to find the right size for a standard fit, or use the exact measurement for a snug fit.
Length
Measure from the top of the shoulder seam to the bottom hem of a tee that fits well. Our length measurements match standard fit — for an oversized look, go one size up.
The "Size Up" Rule for Kids
Kids grow fast. If your child is between sizes, always size up. An oversized graphic tee on a kid looks intentional and cool — it's a style choice, not a misfit. A tee that's too small looks uncomfortable and gets retired in three months. Sizing up extends the garment's life by 6–12 months.
Ordering Tips for Family Sets
- For photos coming up soon: Order what fits now, not what will fit in 6 months. You want it right for the photo.
- For everyday wear: Size up one level for maximum use before outgrowing.
- For gift-giving: When unsure, size up. Easier to grow into than return because it's too small.
- For multiple kids: Measure each individually — a 6-year-old and a 7-year-old can be different sizes depending on build.
Our Fit Style
HOPL tees are designed with a relaxed, slightly oversized fit compared to standard garment sizing. If you typically wear a men's medium, our medium will feel like a comfortable, non-boxy fit. If you prefer a tighter look, size down one.
Kids' sizes follow the same principle — they're designed to feel comfortable and have movement room without being swimming in fabric.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the best size for a 5-year-old?
Most 5-year-olds fit Kids S (5–7 years) for a standard fit, or 5T/Kids XS for a snug fit. Measure the chest and compare to the chart.
Do kids' and adult sizing run the same way?
They're separate size systems. Kids' sizing goes by age/chest; adult sizing by chest measurement. Use the charts above for each.
How do I size for a very tall or very petite kid?
Use chest measurement rather than age. A tall, slim 8-year-old might fit a kids' M by chest but need a kids' L for length.
Do your tees shrink in the wash?
Minimal shrinkage — less than 3% — because we use pre-shrunk cotton. Cold wash, low dry prevents any further shrinkage.
Can older teens wear adult sizes?
Yes. Most 13–14-year-olds fit adult XS or S. Our adult small works for slim teens and petite adults.
Is there a size guide on the product pages?
Yes — every product page has a size guide tab with the full chart and measuring instructions.
What if I'm between adult sizes?
Go up for a relaxed/oversized fit; go down for a snugger fit. Both work — it's a style choice.
Do you carry plus sizes?
Yes, through adult 3XL. All designs available in the full size range.
